Notes32 Persei, a white star in Perseus is identified with a lowercase 'L' on the Bayer system, not to be confused with 1 Persei or i Persei, both of which are distinct stars to the northeast in the same constellation. The possibility of confusion is somewhat lessened (compared to similar cases of similar identities in other constellations) because there is no star with the designation 'I Persei', using an uppercase 'i'.
