Imagery provided by Aladin sky atlas
An orange giant star nearly eight hundred light years from Earth. It is not far from the Northern Celestial Pole in the sky, and forms a very approximate line with the two brighter stars known as the Guardians of the Pole, Pherkad and Kochab.
