Notes	Kochab and Pherkad are the two bright stars closest to the Northern Celestial Pole, apart from the Pole Star Polaris itself. Kochab, the brighter of the two, is a second-magnitude orange giant, while white Pherkad is slightly fainter at third magnitude.
