The remnant of a crater on the southern shores of Oceanus Procellarum, the Moon'sOcean of Storms. The floor of the original crater was at one time flooded with lava, and its northern rim effectively erased, leaving Letronne as a rounded 'bay' of the Ocean of Storms, breaking into the highlands on its southern edge.
