Zeta Microscopii is a dwarfstar like the Sun, though somewhat more massive. Its apparent companion to the northwest in the sky is the subgiantHR 8046, cooler than Zeta Microscopii but considerably more luminous, and lying almost twice as far from the Sun. Imagery provided by Aladin sky atlas
