NotesTheta Andromedae is a binary system consisting of two white stars, with the secondary in a very close orbit around the primary, at a distance comparable to the Earth's from the Sun. This is possibly a triple system, with a third fainter companion about ten times farther from the primary star.

A faint star in the central parts of Andromeda, a little over five degrees away from the famous Andromeda Galaxy. It is a white (A-type) star belonging to the main sequence, and so is in some superficial ways similar to Sirius, though it is nearly thirty times further away than that brilliant star.
