The Galactic position and direction of Sham relative to Earth's Sun. Note that, at this extreme scale, the two stars are effectively in the same place.

Though it appears rather dim from the Earth (with a visual magnitude of +4.38), Sham is in fact a highly luminous bright giant star, but lying more than four hundred light years from the Solar System.
