NotesFifth-magnitude HR 5392 lies in the eastern parts of Virgo, almost directly southward of brilliant Arcturus in the neighbouring constellation of Boötes. This is a hot white star, more than twice the diameter of the Sun, and nearly twenty times as luminous.

The orange star seen close by to the west of HR 5392 is the unrelated seventh-magnitude HD 126201, nearly four times farther from the Sun than HR 5392 in the foreground. Far beyond either star, and only faintly visible to the northwest, are two members of the dense field of galaxies that occupy this part of the constellation Virgo.
