NotesThis is a double star, with the main component being a massive bright yellow star, potentially hosting a circumstellar disc of debris. Just three arcminutes from this primary star is its fainter companion, the relatively Sun-like yellow dwarf EZ Ceti.

The fainter star seen here to the southwest of Chi Ceti is the variable yellow dwarf EZ Ceti. The two stars lie less than two light years apart, and both display similar proper motion, implying that they are related to one another. EZ Ceti may indeed represent a distantly outlying member of the Chi Ceti system, and some sources designate the star 'Chi Ceti B'. Imagery provided by Aladin sky atlas
