Cauda Hydrae (a name meaning the 'tail of Hydra'), is designated Gamma Hydrae on the Bayer system, though in fact it is considerably brighter than Beta Hydrae, which also lies within the tail of the Sea Monster. This is an evolvedyellowstar, considerably more larger and more massive than the Sun.
