The brightstar to the southwest of Baten Kaitos in this image is Chi Ceti, which is actually a rather less luminous foreground star. To the west of Baten Kaitos, and northward of Chi Ceti, a spiral galaxy can be seen (zoom in on the area to the right of Baten Kaitos to see this more clearly). This is NGC 681, an intermediate spiral commonly known as the Little Sombrero Galaxy (not to be confused with C43 in Pegasus, which is also given this name). Imagery provided by Aladin sky atlas
