AR Cassiopeiae, IH Cassiopeiae AR is the formal variable designation for this star, while IH is an informal designation applied in error and preserved for historical reasons
September / October (Usually visible from northern latitudes)
AR Cassiopeiae is one of the busiest multiple systems known, containing at least seven individual stars. The apparently close star seen here to the immediate west (right) of AR Cassiopeiae is not, however, part of this multiple system, but a less luminous foreground star designated HD 221237.
