Achird is a near-neighbour of the Solar System, lying less than twenty
light years from the Sun. It falls
within the boundaries of Cassiopeia, about halfway between the
brighter stars
Cih and Schedar. Achird is not only close by in astronomical terms, but it is also a
yellow dwarf, making it physically very similar to the
Sun. The Achird system differs radically from our own
Solar System, though, in that the visible yellow
star has at least one companion stars.
