Notes18 Aquarii is a dwarf star somewhat hotter than the Sun (hence its bright yellow F-type classification). A star with no known companions, 18 Aquarii has a diameter more than twice that of the Sun, and is also rather more luminous, emitting more than twelve times as much light energy.

A star of the 'F' spectral classification, 18 Aquarii appears to be a large dwarf star, with a mass approaching that of a subgiant. Its magnitude is only +5.5, so many observers will have difficulty locating this star with the naked eye.
