Gliese 205 is a near neighbour of the Sun at a distance of just nineteen light years. Initial surveys suggested the existence of two giant planets in this system, each comparable with Neptune, with Gliese 205 c being the outer of the two. Subsequent investigations have failed to confirm this finding, and the existence of these planets is now considered doubtful.
