A 'toby jug' is a traditional pottery form in which the jug takes the form of a seated figure with a handle emerging from its back. The eastern whorl of material extending out from this reflection nebula does indeed give the impression of a jug handle, though in this case a handle measuring approximately a light year from side to side.
