The immense moon Ganymede orbits its parent planet Jupiter among the four Galilean Moons. It is the largest moon in the Solar System, but more than that, its diameter is actually greater than that of the planet Mercury. Its surface is covered in warped ridges and grooves, showing a history of intense tectonic activity, and speckled with impact craters.
