Collinder 32 is one of the most prominent of the numerous young open clusters within the Soul Nebula, IC 1848. The cluster lies within the western regions of the nebula, and is sometimes designated as 'IC 1848' itself, representing the 'cluster' element of the entire cluster-and-nebula complex.
